DoubleVision Personal Training receive Business Award for Client Achievement

blog.GIF

On Friday 25 April 2008 at a Business Awards Ceremony hosted by Bedford’s Project i-vita, DoubleVision Personal Training received an award for Client Achievement.

The award, sponsored by Sport England was presented to us by Steve Cram, MBE.  Steve who now devotes his time to sports commentating on TV and radio and delivering motivational lectures and speeches, won a silver medal in 1984 for the 1,500m at the Los Angeles Olympics.  In 1985 he broke world records for 1,500m, 2,000m and the mile all within the space of just 19 days.  Before presenting the Awards on Friday, Steve delivered an inspirational speech to the 160 or so guests (including former Olympic swimmer Brian Brinkley MBE and Paula Radcliffe’s parents, Pat & Peter Radcliffe of Bedford & County Athletics Club).

Working with our clients and seeing them achieve their fitness objectives (in some cases overcoming very significant personal barriers in order to do so) is incredibly rewarding but to receive the i-vita Award in recognition of our commitment to our clients and their achievements is fantastic for us.  Our new FitnessVideoPodcast Service will enable us to share the skills and commitment recognised by the i-vita Award with a much wider client basis.  Podcast subscribers will get the same personal training product and the same level of service as our 1 to 1 personal training clients - they will receive the DoubleVision product delivered in “virtual” person by the DoubleVision Team.

Pick Up The Beat - Squat Challenge for the British Heart Foundation

The FitnessVideoPodcast team were delighted to support the British Heart Foundation’s current “Pick Up The Beat” Campaign by taking part in a Squat Challenge held at Bedford’s Fitness First gym on Saturday 26 April 2008.

Along with 2 others we were required to squat continuously for 2 hours.  We had been in training for the event for 4 weeks and our training routine which comprised a range of resistance exercises including deadlifts, squats and lunges to build up the strength in our legs, stood us in good stead.  The whole team successfully finished the challenge, completing a total of 71 sets  of squats (each set comprised 12 squats).  Read all »
